“My father was at Langdon Place of Exeter for a 1.5 month respite stay. I cannot say enough about the wonderful care and compassion he received during his visit. Everyone went the extra mile, from the chef to the housekeeping services. Not just in what they did for him, but how they treated him with respect and a genuine interest in getting to know him. Their communication to families is incredibly thoughtful, including open forum zoom calls, and highly responsive admissions, nurses, and any staff member I reached out to. Zero hesitation in recommending this facility for the short or long term!

“We moved my dad to Langdon Place at the beginning of July and he truly enjoys living there! Denise was an awesome introduction to Langdon- she is so upbeat, great energy and personable! After having lunch there and seeing the rooms, he was sold! I think the coconut cream pie helped! He is able to get his PT and OT services while living there (since he broke his hip 1 1/2 years ago and hated us taking him to PT as he “didn’t need it”), enjoys the companionship of others his age, and the outings! Just the other day they all went on a picnic to Newcastle - which he thoroughly enjoyed! He also loves to attend church with his friends, movie nights and the weekly cocktail hour. My sister and I live in the Exeter area so Langdon Place is so handy for us to just zip over for a visit as well! Prior to Langdon, he had been living in the BVI for 25 years and after the hurricane 2 years ago in which he house was destroyed, had been sitting on our couch all day watching tv . Now he is getting out, moving and socializing - so important to keep everything working! Thank you to everyone at Langdon Place for giving my dad a new home and new friends!
